Any submission of any kind used within the show will be credited in the Shownotes for that show, and a Contributor Page will be set up for the Contributor which includes a small biography and links to products (Albums, Books etc.) available to buy.
Featured Items will also be credited within the Show itself.
Any submission must be accompanied by one or more links to your website(s), a small biography (or link to same), a photograph of you or your band (an artistic image/logo is fine if you don't have or want a personal image), an email address where you can be contacted and links to where your albums, books etc. can be purchased. Any submission implies you are the Copyright holder or have the rights to submit the content to us and are willing for us to use the content in our Show (which is licensed under Creative Commons) for the purposes of entertainment and promotion of your work. Any exceptions to this are listed below. The responsibility for informing us of any changes to your Link or Sales details remains with yourself.
Our usage does not imply or intend any infringement of your existing rights or Copyright. If you have any doubts, then we advise you to listen to our shows where your fellow artist(s) are being promoted and check on our usage of their work, or consult them about our relationship with them. Please contact us by email first and let us know the nature of your content if you are not sure of a similar artist.
We are happy to help promote your product - as long as it meets our Guidelines - in return for a donation to help us keep the podcast up and running. Please donate whatever you think our advertising and promotion would be worth to you. The two of us fund the whole show and its' production ourselves so any extra help is always appreciated. For this you would gain continual exposure to our 60,000+ (and growing) listener base. Our show offers you the unique opportunity of continual promotion because the archives are always available to any subscriber, old or new, on our website and our feed.
We will always confirm receipt of your submission to us by email. Please allow up to 14 days for this confirmation - Life and Inboxes willing!
Please remember that any submission must remain Family-Friendly: that is to say, refrain from any overly-descriptive imagery of sex/violence (implication is enough), from expletives, bigotry and intolerance and generally anything that you wouldn't want to expose your own children to.
Please be aware that our schedule for Show compositions is planned months in advance and any successful submission will be used but it may be months in the future. Life also can cause delays. We have had a year of serious illness which has forced books and music that we had already received to be placed on hold temporarily. We assure you that your submissions will not be forgotten and those accepted will be used and your work promoted.
In our Holiday Specials (which come out at most eight times a year) and sometimes in our main Story Shows, we feature artists who specialise in Celtic or Fairy/Fey music. We favour music that is not too heavy/metallic etc. and is either traditionally Celtic or covers one of our genre subjects and will be chosen using the following prority list: Celtic Mythology, Celtic & Fairy/Fae, Fairy/Fae songs, Celtic Culture, general Celtic music, listener-made music. We are always happy to support up and coming artists and will always try to play your music given a certain quality theshold in terms of recording and performance. Any featured music should be less than 5-6 minutes at the longest.
We also use music as bed music to provide atmosphere and ambience to a story. Please let us know in the submission if you would like us to consider your music for this role as well. You may also offer us Sound Effects (SFX) to use in our shows - such submissions will also be credited in the Shownotes.
If you would like to be included in one of these shows then please feel free to either send us a CD or email us a track or tracks to play on the show.
If you attach music to an email, please encode your music as M4A at 256 Kb/s or an MP3 at 192 Kb/s at a minimum, both at 44.1 KHz. You could also send us a lossless format, such as WAV, AIFF or FLAC and use a service such as YouSendIt or Dropbox if you have trouble sending the large file. Our Inbox will handle large files, so don't worry about that. Please use the word "Submission" in the subject line of the email.
You are also welcome to send us a CD or DVD of your music. Please make sure it is of 'production quality' and not just a collection of low-quality MP3s - that is to say, use a lossless format encoded to the default CDA format or if it has to be in M4A or MP3 format, then ensure at least the same bitrate as for the email submission.
Please also let us know which track(s) we can play, which track(s) are the best (and yes, we know that they're all amazing - but which do you think will be hot-sellers or on a single/EP!) and whether we can give your CD or DVD away as a prize afterwards. You might also like to suggest a question to set for the competition as well..
The email address and snail mail address guidelines will be found at the bottom of this page.
Stories or Fiction of between 2000 and 3000 words, Non-Fiction of between 1000 and 2000 words, and poetry of up to 20-30 lines will be read during our Holiday Special shows. There is a degree of latitude about the length so do not worry overly - treat these suggestions as guidelines. The work we feature will again be within our subject genre as listed abovfe, i.e. within the following priority list: Celtic Mythology, Celtic & Fairy/Fae, Fairy/Fae, Celtic Culture/History/Archaeology, general Celtic Studies, listener-written content. We are always happy to support up and coming authors and will always try to read/perform your work given a certain quality theshold in terms of authorship.
If your article is non-fiction in nature, or based on scientific studies, please state your sources and note when using (Unverified) Personal Gnosis, Revelation or the Spirit of Awen.
If you would like your work to be included and promoted in one of these shows then please feel free to either send us a book or email us a section to read/perform on the show.
If you attach a document to an email, please use a common document format such as Word (*.doc,*.docx), Open Office (*.odt) or unsecured PDF (*.pdf), Rich Text (*.rtf) or Text formats (*.txt). Our for the most successful selection is to find a section of the right length that is almost a complete mini-story or section in its' own right in that it has a beginning, a middle and a conclusion and yet does not completely answer all questions, so that the listener is intrigued to go out and buy your book to find out more about the subject or story and its characters. Poetry is best performed as a complete piece. The email address for submissions is at the bottom of the page. Please use the word "Submission" in the subject line of the email.
You are also welcome to send us your Book. If you have a preference, please also let us know which section you would like us to read and whether we can give your book away as a prize afterwards. You may like us to keep your book instead in the hope that we may choose a second section from it in the future. We have done this in the past (especially with non-fiction works) - so this is probably the preferable option for non-fiction works. You'll find our address at the bottom of the page.
The email address and snail mail address guidelines will be found at the bottom of this page.
You are more than welcome use the Speakpipe recording system (on the right hand side of each page) to record a Free message on your computer. If you don't want your message to be read or played on the show, just say/write "Personal Message" and we will respect your request.
You can also email us with your own recorded message directly using the following email address:
If you have a Podcast that covers one of our genre subjects (Celtic Mythology, Celtic & Fairy/Fae, Fairy/Fae, Celtic Culture/History/Archaeology, general Celtic/Pagan Studies, other Mythology - although we're fairly flexible here, just looking for good shows for our listeners) then please feel free to drop us your Promo and a few lines in an email and we'll try to give your show a listen and get it played on ours!
See below for the email address and please put "Podcast submission" or something like that in the subject line.
Please follow the main Submission Guidelines for your content, although we won't set up a Contributor page for you so don't worry about a full biography and picture. A two-sentence bio and small picture would be nice to give people an idea of who you are, but they're not strictly necessary - it's up to you. The same goes for a link-back to your site or email - such links are at your discretion.
If you are a Professional, defined as an artist that sells their work, then please use the above categories for submission and we can set you up a whole section or gallery with links to where readers/listeners can buy your works etc. If you are a listener with a lot of pictures. stories etc. that you would like to submit, as they build up or arrive with us - we may set you up with your own individual section and Contributor Page, just to make it easier for people to find your work and tell them a little more about you.
If your Copyright (or All Rights Reserved) is different from that of the Show (Creative Commons), then please state it with the Submission and that will be printed along with your Submission. Artwork will be water-marked with such statement. Although most technologies can be by-passed by the determined thief, we will use as many anti-theft technologuies as we can to protect your work, such as water-marking, Flash-galleries, prevention of Right-Click download and so on.
