You Are My Lucky Star

Singin' In The Rain, of course.  BTW, does anyone else love the Morecambe and Wise version of SITR ?  Apparently, the Variety Club once showed this to Gene Kelly when he was over on a visit, and he fell about laughing: said it was the best spoof he'd ever seen !  I think it's on Youtube (all the good stuff seems to be LOL!)

Rush      (Metal group from my youth, 2112: Temple of Syrinc and stuff like that Smiley)

I do remember M & W - they were classic British humour - Smiley Do you remember the Two Ronnies - in particular the sketch about the Mystical Order of something or other, translating ancient heiroglyphs? Like MNX - Hamn and Eggs?

Good memories Smiley

Highway Star

Deep Purple from Made in Japan: I played that album until it was too scratched to listen to, and oddly enough, downloaded a few tracks the other day, including Smoke On The Water.  Grow old gracefully - bah humbug !  And who gets to decide what gracefully is anyway ?  One of my favourite quotes:

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, with a beer in one hand, shouting "Whoo, what a ride!!"  Grin Grin

Smoke on the Water was the first thing I ever learned to play on the guitar - nostalgic grins Smiley Whatever happened to Dick Emery - a man of talent.

What a ride... great quote Smiley
