I have done some preliminary research on my ancestry and through ancestry.com have linked myself to William the Lion in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland; born 1143.  I want to retrace and verify all the people in between but am curious if there are any others who have come upon this same lineage.  I was thrilled to find this distant connection but my father (whose mother is the beginning link in the backward search) was less than impressed as he says there are probably hundreds of thousands of people who can claim the same link.
