Danny Quinn passed away on October 30th after experiencing a sudden medical challenge. Danny was born in Suffern, NY on January 23, 1959, son of the late Mary Ellen (Earnshaw) and Richard Quinn. He spent his childhood living in the Eagle Valley area of Tuxedo, NY, and graduated from George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo.
Danny's life was always focused on music, both as a performer and as an avid listener of many diverse musical talents. As a youth, he was involved in numerous school productions, and performed with his first band, "Cellar" in high school. Danny was a performer of Irish & American folk music for over three decades, perfroming with his brother Tim as "The Mighty Quinn," in the bands "Stoutheart," "The Danny Quinn Band," and "The Uncle Brothersd," and touring nationally with legendary musician Tommy Makem. Danny was best known for his work as a solo musician and songwriter, gaining a wide fan base for both his original music and his renditions of traditional Irish and American folk classics.
